Roberson takes over as SWD Military Integration Division chief

Tony R. Roberson has been selected as the Chief of the Military Integration Division, Programs Directorate, for the Southwestern Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In this position, Roberson is responsible for the execution of the Military, Environmental, and Interagency and International Services programs in the Division.

DALLAS - Tony R. Roberson has been selected as the chief of the Military Integration Division, Programs Directorate, for the Southwestern Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In this position, Roberson is responsible for the execution of the Military, Environmental, and Interagency and International Services programs in the Division. The Division provides engineering, construction and environmental management services for nine Army and nine Air Force installations.

Prior to this assignment, he served as the SWD Deputy MID Chief and Environmental/IIS Branch Chief from 2011 to 2015. In his first assignment at SWD, Roberson worked as a Senior Environmental Program Manager/Federal On Scene Representative co-located with the Environmental Protection Agency Region 6 staff in Dallas, Texas from 2000 to 2011.

"Mr. Roberson's previous position as the Deputy Chief of the Military Integration Division will serve him well as the new head of the division,” said Brig. Gen. David Hill, commander, SWD. “He brings to the organization experience and expertise from various positions working with the U.S. Navy, EPA and the Corps. We look forward to his continued success with the Southwestern Division.”

Roberson began his federal career in 1991 as a Potable Water Chemist for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Navy Public Works Center on Guam. From 1991 to 2000, he served in various Environmental Program Management positions for PWC, Guam supporting military, and other federal and local clients in the Marianas Islands. Roberson culminated his 10 year career at PWC Guam as the Head of the Environmental Services Department from 1999-2000.

Before joining the federal service, Roberson worked in private industry as a Product Development Chemist for American Cyanamid/Kemira, Inc. chemical manufacturer in Savannah, Georgia.

Roberson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Savannah State University and a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Meridian University in Petaluma, California. He is a registered Environmental Program Manager.
