This time of government shutdown is a difficult one not only for our workforce, but also for the communities that we serve. We are doing everything we can to lessen the impact on both groups. The government shutdown and civilian furloughs in no way reflect the dedicated work that you all do every day to support our warfighters, our communities and our Nation. Government Shutdown Information for SWD Employees

SWD employees: The recent Department of Defense announcement that recalls some Department of Defense civilians applies only to those whose responsibilities contribute to the morale, well-being, capabilities and readiness of service members. These civilian employees are being recalled under the Pay Our Military Act. This does not apply to all Corps of Engineers employees. This information on the SWD website is intended to consolidate information that is available in the public domain. Please continue to check with your supervisors and monitor your communications channels to ensure that you are aware of recall activities that relate to your positions.
