Addicks and Barker Emergency Response Exercise
With the 2019 Hurricane season just eight months away, the Army Corps of Engineers, along with local emergency agencies met to rehearse and review a severe weather event. The exercise allows emergency responders from Fort Bend and Harris County along with the City of Houston and other local agencies to rehearse emergency responses concerning an extreme rainfall event affecting the Addicks and Barker Reservoir. Tim Clarkin, a USACE Galveston District Water Control Manager, explains how 65 emergency responders met at the Texas Department of Safety's Sector Headquarters in Jersey Village for the November 1, 2018 Table Top exercise.
