    Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas on Veterans Day

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today that it will waive day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at the more than 2,800 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide on Veterans Day, November 11.

    Corps’ Southwestern Division commander, Paul E. Owen, confirmed for brigadier general

    DALLAS—Colonel Paul E. Owen, the Commander and Division Engineer of the Southwestern Division, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, was confirmed for promotion to the grade of brigadier general by the United States Senate. The promotion date is yet to be determined, but it is normally a few months after Senate confirmation.
