    DALLAS--Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination and a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. According to Army’s policy on sexual harassment, it violates acceptable standards of integrity and conduct required of all Army personnel – military and civilian. Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome advances, requests for sexual favors, and any other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature when 1) submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as a basis of employment decisions; 2) submission to such conduct is made a term or condition of employment or, 3) such conduct unreasonably interferes with job performance or has the purpose or effect of creating a hostile, offensive, or intimidating work environment.

These included the Houston Ship Channel and Comprehensive Coastal Texas studies; the Lower Colorado River Basin Phase I, Onion Creek, Austin, Texas; the Project Partnership Agreement for the Onion Creek Study and the Half Moon Reef Nature Conservancy; and completion of the Dam Safety Modification Studies for Addicks and Barker Dams in Houston and Pine Creek Dam in Oklahoma.

    DALLAS--Tamara R. Mahaffey, Logistics Manager for the Southwestern Division’s Fort Worth District, is the recipient of the USACE Meritorious Logistician Award for 2014. Mahaffey beat out more than 500 eligible logisticians from across the Corps to win the prestigious award. “I am blessed with a team of analytical, forthright, and dedicated professionals who willingly go ‘out of the box’ in order to achieve greatness,” said Mahaffey. “I accept this award on their behalf.”
