The Southwestern Division provides a full range of environmental engineering and management support for our military installation and other federal customers in support of our Military Works mission. The Division facilitates and delivers environmental products and services to all customers within its geographic boundaries either directly, by contract or by coordinating installation needs with other divisions or districts. We focus on building and maintaining a strong and vibrant partnership with our clients, regulators and other stakeholders by focusing on communication, mutual goals and environmental management systems.
SWD provides these environmental compliance, restoration, and management services using a matrix regional team concept. The Southwestern Division's Regional Environmental Team includes the Division office in Dallas, and two District offices in Tulsa, Okla., and Fort Worth, Texas which provides a full range of environmental products expertise and services in all or part of seven states and other clients nationwide. The team is comprised of highly skilled multi-faceted professionals that include disciplines such as environmental engineers, environmental scientists, geologists, chemists, geophysicists, ordnance and explosives safety specialists and engineering technicians.
The environmental professionals throughout the Southwestern Division works with other federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations and academic institutions to find innovative solutions that provide a value service to the nation and communities. The Southwestern Division Environmental programs focus on reducing risk and protecting human health and the environment in a timely and cost-effective manner. Cleaning up sites contaminated with hazardous, toxic and/or radioactive waste or ordnance.
